HYGGE (Pronounced hue-guh) is a Danish word used to acknowledge a cosy, warm feeling or moment, whether alone or with friends, at home or out.
Hello folks! Spring has officially arrived at The Cornish Tent Company HQ and that means one thing and one thing only – better days are coming. We’re counting down the days / weeks / months until we can host tipi weddings and love stories with all of our wonderful couples. But in the meantime, we’re looking forward to smaller events, pubs and parties. So, brides and grooms – we suggest you head back to the blog where you’ll find all the tipi inspiration you need, as this is one for the caterers and restaurant owners to read!
So, you may have spotted our recent blog post talking all about socially distanced suppers. It’s been a tough old year or two and we have been busy working behind the scenes thinking of ways to ensure you can still gather everyone together under one roof – safely! We’re offering our Nordic Tipis for hire from just £400 per week (ready for when the roadmap out of lockdown starts), which means you can increase capacity that you would have previously lost to social distancing.
Plus, if you’re wondering how to jazz up your outdoor tipi space for your bar or restaurant, don’t fret. We’re all about the hygge vibes here at The Cornish Tent Company and our tipis lend themselves perfectly to the cosy atmosphere. Over the years we’ve styled our tipis with festoon and fairy lighting (both outdoor surrounding the tipi and inside). We also have fire pits that are available to hire and they’re always a winner in everyone’s eyes! Nothing beats roasting marshmallows in the early evening sunshine, wrapped up warm with your favourite people. Speaking of wrapping up warm, we love the idea of providing people with baskets full of cosy rugs and blankets – you could even spread them across the furniture for some added charm. Rustic furniture will go down an absolute treat, we have handmade wooden tables which are also available to hire and to kit out your tipi space. Flickering candles, chilled out music and the general atmosphere will help to create a super relaxed hygge vibe, and essentially somewhere people will want to get together with a drink to let the good times roll.
Before we head off, here are a few quick-fire reasons to get involved with our social distanced supper service…
