When the sun is shining and the skies are empty of clouds, nothing beats an outdoor celebration, and we love seeing our couples embrace the Cornish countryside and coastline throughout wedding season. If you’ve booked an epic tipi wedding with the team at the Cornish Tent Company, we’ve chucked together a few fabulous ideas so that you can keep your guests of all ages happy in the great outdoors…

Giant Jenga

It goes without saying, giant Jenga is an absolute must-have at any outdoor celebration and everyone adores this absolute classic of a lawn game. An alternative to the traditional tabletop version, giant Jenga adds a tonne of fun to your tipi wedding and can also make up part of your wedding décor. This could also be a DIY job for the crafty couple – you’ll just need to cut 54 brick-size pieces which you can paint, personalise or decorate!

Themed Photo Booth

Not only is a themed photo-booth a fun activity for your friends and family to get stuck into, but you’ll be also left with some hilarious memories of your special day. You can create the photo booth around your wedding design or colour scheme (you’ll find loads of ideas of our Pinterest page guys) and put up a sign telling your guests to get on board with the selfies and group shots. Don’t forget to add some eclectic props – oversized glasses, moustache sticks, feather boas, pretty frames and more!

Beer Pong

Of prosecco, of course! This is a definite icebreaker and is guaranteed to get the party started. The best news is that it’s simple to set up and the rules are simple enough for guests to follow too! You’ll also get some cracking photos of your loved ones having a brilliant time.

Cocktail Making

On the topic of beer pong and prosecco, why not create a cocktail making station at your tipi celebration? You could ask your friends and families to recreate your cocktail favourites, along with striped colourful straws, fruit garnishing and even mini umbrellas to use as a finishing touch! Alternatively, a cocktail van is an absolute essential, it really doesn’t get better than sipping on a pina colada in the Cornish sunshine!

Coconut Shy

If you want to channel those quirky festival vibes at your tipi wedding, then add a touch of carnival fun with the help of a coconut shy. A relaxed, summery game designed for guests of all ages, it’s a brilliant addition to any outdoor celebration!

Croquet

Have you even planned an outdoor wedding if you haven’t organised a game of croquet? If your venue has enough space, a game of croquet needs to feature at your tipi wedding in the summer. Let’s see whose competitive side comes out first?!

Unusual Guests

Here at the Cornish Tent Company, we really have seen it all, including alpacas at weddings! Inviting a few four-legged furry friends to your nuptials is a sure-fire way to keep people having the best time. We love how Lauren + Robert popped some vey smart bow ties on their alpacas!

Kid’s Games

If you’re worried about making sure the younger guests are entertained and happy throughout your outdoor celebration, there are oodles of ideas to keep them smiling. Using our smallest tipi hats, we can set up a designated children’s area filled with fun activities including a colouring station with doodle paper and crayons, pots of bubbles and lots of comfy cushions and rugs so they can chill out.
